The Undergraduate Course for Sanskrit, as second language promotes the appreciation of the rich and scientific language which is crucial to the understanding of several Indian cultural, philosophical and religious traditions. The thrust areas of the course are Epics, Vedic and Upanishadic lore and other areas of Indology. The unique features of the course include the introduction of grammar topics to strengthen the language and literary appreciation. Textbooks are changed once in three years. The teaching learning methods aim at the development of communication skills and awareness about the recent trends in Sanskrit literature and includes Lecture Method, Interactive Method, Role-play, Assignment, Seminar, and Group Discussion Methods..

To understand our rich Culture and Heritage. Through Prose and Poetry they learn human values and practice them in day to day life.

The Mission on Sanskrit Literature is one of humanism, of duty of mankind of values of peace and mutual understanding and of harmonious development of the individual and the Society
