About Department
Management as an academic field of study offers a number of insights into many organizational aspects of our daily lives. Once the students graduate from college and begin their career, they will either manage or be managed. For those who plan on careers in management, an understanding of the management process forms the foundation upon which to build their management skills, but it would be naive to assume that everyone who studies management is planning a career in management.
In short management courses imparts advanced knowledge to competent students so that they can apply wisely what they have learnt when they are working in an organization. The inefficiencies are barred while they can manage things efficiently. BA-CEM is an undergraduate program for management studies offered by St.Joseph’s college for women (A) that course allows the students to obtain the knowledge and skills needed to assume management positions in a wide range of organizations. Management studies programmes provide students with a solid foundation in organizational behavior and human resource management, Principles of management, Business environment and ethics, etc which allow students to develop deeper knowledge in specific areas of interest. In addition to business management course, it will equip to understand how organizations work, how they are managed, and how they interact with local, national and international environments. This stream equip the students with all the aspects of commerce, economics and management which will make the students versatile that will help in their career development.

Thus the Program and Course Learning Outcomes were targeted towards this very end. Therefore it is easy to measure the PEO fulfillment or Outcomes Attainment rate among the students.
